With 131 dual-aspect residences, the outer layers protect the inner home, much like the typical Arabian courtyard house, with places to connect - conviviality at its core. As the units face two directions, it allows for optimal airflow, and its niche design explores privacy, also featuring multiple deep terraces along its length, on both the north- and south-facing façades, creating an environment that enables shade, greenery and fresh natural ventilation within every space.

It fits into the local context both through its deference to tradition and by pushing the envelope with a bold glimpse of what the future could look like. While Dubai has always been ahead in the race of progress, Muraba Veil is one of those projects that will add another feather to the city’s cap of achievements beyond the power of imagination. At a height of 380 metres and a width of only 22.5 metres, the veil is pierced to allow sunlight to filter through and create the effect of ribbons of air current, vanishing into the haze of Dubai from a distance. That is at a distance, but up close, one can see how the design serves to allow the air to pass through it, facilitating natural ventilation and, at the same time, protecting the privacy of the residents from the blazing sun of the desert, reducing the need for air conditioning. Drawing inspiration from the rich architectural heritage, the veil is reminiscent of the traditional Mashrabiya, but in a modern way. The structure tucks away most of its 131 apartments on 73 levels, offering a choice of 2, 3, 4, and 5-bedroom duplexes. Inside, the design follows the lead of the exterior, providing residents with expansive spaces with a view. Every apartment is a private domain, as each occupies a whole floor. Splashes of warm greys, beiges, and browns create a welcoming atmosphere, while the sunlight adds to the coziness of the space, with delicate strands of greens swinging like a crown. Fully stretching from the top to bottom, the windows provide an uninterrupted view, while shades and overhangs provide the necessary privacy. The open-plan kitchens flow into the dining and living areas, with lots of storage space hidden away in the cabinets and other furniture. At the lower level, there is a spa with hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms, and a courtyard, offering residents a chance to unwind and escape the city's electric atmosphere. The communal areas are multifunctional, offering flexible spaces for hosting, with an amphitheatre for performances, a cinema, and a restaurant. On level 31, be amused to step into a gigantic majlis that can be utilised for meetings, gatherings, and occasions, and the rooftop pools combine lush greenery with deep wellness to create a true oasis. Altogether, the layouts boast a traditional courtyard, but arranged to serve the spark of a modern home.
